Our Approach

1. Identify and restore degraded land

We rehabilitate unproductive farmlands, damaged ecosystems, and degraded soils to reverse the damage caused by extractive economies and practices and restore the conditions for land to self-heal and evolve.

2. Regenerate Ecosystems

We further accelerate the ability of the system to be increasingly diverse, complex, and resilient over time, eventually creating net-positive ecosystems that produce food, restore soil health, recharge watersheds, and sequester large amounts of carbon

3. Create Regenerative Enterprises

In every project, we introduce appropriate regenerative businesses and enterprises that will not only fund and sustain our restoration efforts, but create an alternative economy that cultivates natural, social, and cultural capital instead of merely extracting from them in the name of profit

4. Re-introduce Human Stewardship

We partner with local communities, stakeholders, and businesses and work with them to restore human stewardship to nature. For us, it is not enough to simply plant a forest; we must learn to tend to it, nurture it, and co-evolve with it so that it will continue to flourish and remain resilient over time.

5. Manage and Track Health and Resilience of Living Systems

Our ultimate goal is to increase health and resilience of Living Systems over time. By measuring and tracking relevant indicators of health such as productivity, soil health, biodiversity, and watershed recharge, not only can we validate our restoration strategies for each context, but the hard data can also support our case for restoration and draw more to our cause.
